Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly Sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the sale at £3474.90 (357.5p/kg) was a ten year old 972kg British Blue cross cow from Messrs Allen, Thornton le dale.

This home also sold a 835kg Limousin cross cow to make £3377.58 (404.5p/kg).

Topping the pence per kilo at 437.5p was a 727kg Limousin cross cow which totalled £3180.63 from Messrs Warren, ………….

With this home also selling a 734kg British Blue cross cow to make 361.5p/kg and £2653.41 and a 674kg British Blue cross to make £2402.81 (356.5p/kg)

Messrs Sedgley, Low Bank House, Barbon sold a 772kg British Blue cross cow to make £2574.62 (333.5p/kg).

Messrs Marston, South View, Winton sold a 723kg Limousin cross cow to make £2440.13 (337.5p/kg)

Messrs Atkinson, Green Farm, Colby sold a 670kg Limousin cross cow to make £2395.25 (357.5p/kg).

All cast cows forward sold to average 287.94p/kg and £1996.34 per head.
