Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

H + H held their weekly sale of weaned stirks and bulls.  Trade maintained recent rates today at Borderway, however, young weathered cattle would be harder to place.  Topping todays sale was Messrs Quinne, Ballakilley, Isle of Man with a Charolais bull at £2600.  In the bullock section a pen of two Limousins from Messrs Naylor, Hill Green sold to £1840 with heifers to £1820 for a pen of four Blues from Messrs Boyes, Millbank Venison.  Best native bulls sold to £1820 for a pen of three Herefords from Messrs Kirkwood, Mouswald Grange.  Dairy bulls topping at £1730 from the same home.  Native bullocks sold to a top of £1620 for a Beef Shorthorn from Messrs Kerr, Greenrigg.  Native heifers topping at £1560 for an Angus from Messrs Shuttleworth, Easthill.  Dairy bullock topped at £1310 for a Fleckvieh from Messrs Carruthers, Oulton Grange.
