Kirkby Stephen Breeding Sheep Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their weekly sale of Ewes and lambs where 102 were forward.

Topping the sale at £72 a head (£216 per outfit) was a pen of Lleyn cross ewes with Continental cross twin lambs at foot from Messrs Jenkinson, Whingill, Hartley.

Mule ewes with Texel cross twin lambs at foot topped at £64 per head (£192 per outfit) from Messrs Brown, Oak House, Ravenstonedale.

All classes of ewes and lambs were in demand from a large ringside of potential buyers and many more could have been easily sold to great advantage.
