Harrison & Hetherington, Kirkby Stephen held their opening sale of Store lambs on Tuesday when 395 were forward
Topping the sale at £69.50 were a pen of 20 Dutch Texel cross lambs from Messrs Pedley, Yore House, Sedbergh.
Messrs Emmott, Wythop Hall Farm, Cockermouth sold a well bred run of 60 Mule lambs to top at £54 for a pen of 24 with their whole consignment averaging £53.52.
A packed ringside of potential buyers were present for our opening sale of the season which resulted in a flying trade for all classes being obtained.
Plenty of pens of strong Continental cross lambs sold between £60 - £65.
Many more store lambs could have been easily sold to great advantage and a whole sale average of £55.12 was achieved.
