On Tuesday 15th January Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their opening sale of Store Cattle at Middleton-In-Teesdale Mart.
An entry of 80 quality stores were forward and met with a fantastic trade throughout.
Most cattle forward were aged between 6 to 8 months and a sensational average of £900 was achieved in what was one of the best sales recently seen.
Topping the sale was a Limousin bullock from Mr J R Dalton, South Wellhope for a total of £975. With the bidding being brisk bullocks were regularly away at £920 & £950.
Topping the heifers was again a Limousin, this time from Messrs Addison, Hayberries selling for the price of £945. A good day was had at Middleton and for all entries for our February sale, please contact Kay.
