St Boswells Primestock Sale

At St Boswells on Monday 11^th February, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly Primestock sale of cattle and sheep where they sold 62 Clean Cattle, 79 Cast Cows, 1714  Hoggs and  709  Ewes.

Bullocks (18) averaged  219p per kg and sold to  240p  (+8p on the week)

Heifers (44 ) averaged  217p per kg and sold to  250p (+11p on the week)

79 Cast Cows averaged 122p per kg and sold to 177p (+5p on the week) Top price £1485

Black and White Cows 104p

1714 Hoggs averaged 193p per kg  and sold to £114 , top price  242p per kg for Texel Hoggs

Ewes averaged £57  and sold to £113  for Suffolk Ewes.   Heavy Ewes averaged £73 , light ewes sold to £79  for Cheviot  Ewes and averaged £49
