Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their annual February Sale of Beef Breeding Cattle on Monday.
Topping the sale at £2900 was a Limousin cross heifer with heifer calf at foot from Messrs Ousby, Bents Farm, Newbiggin-on-Lune which was bought by Messrs Makepeace, Barnard Castle.
In-calf heifers topped twice at £2550 firstly for a Limousin cross from Messrs Bradley, Penny Grange, Settle which was bought by Messrs Steel, Steeley Farm, Bishop Auckland then also selling at £2550 from Penny Grange a British Blue cross heifer selling to Messrs Richardson, Low Garth, Cockermouth.
A packed ringside of potential buyers were present looking for beef breeding cattle.
