Blonde Cattle Society Early Spring Show & Sale

The annual Blonde Society Early Spring Show and Sale held at Carlisle on Friday saw the Supreme Champion take the top price of the day at 3200gns. Brownhill Noel from TM & J Hope’s Strathaven based herd was the bull taking the top honours.  Sired by Hallfield Homer and out of Brownhill Etta, this April 2017 born bull was purchased by Messrs Noble from Egremont, Cumbria.

The Reserve Supreme Champion was next in the price rankings when he sold for 2800gns. Consigned by AJ Stott, the bull Hilltop Nelson was sired by Hallfield Jody and out of Hilltop Jackie. Nelson was purchased by Messrs Rogerson from Appleby In Westmorland, Cumbria.

Also at 2800gns was another from Messrs Hope’s Brownhill herd. This was Brownhill Nevil, also sired by Hallfield Homer Nevil had won Junior Champion at last year’s Royal Highland Show and was purchased on Friday by Messrs Whiteford from Ansruther, Fife.

P Weightman & Son’s bull Hallfield Nixon sold for 2600gns to Messrs McArthur from Annan, Dumfriesshire.  Nixon was sired by Aaron Jaigo and out of the Paquerette daughter Hallfield Ibis.
