Pedigree Beef Day

The Annual Pedigree Beef Day Special Spring Sale at Carlisle on Friday saw the Salers’ sell to a top of 2800gns.

This was for Rednock Estates’ April 2017 born bull, Rednock Mars, sired by Rigel Officer and out of Rigel Hostess.  The successful bidder on this occasion was Messrs Anderson from Eddleston, Peebles.

In the South Devon section the three females forward sold for 1050gns(x2) and 900gns respectively. These were all 2018 born maiden heifers sired by Arncliffe Gairloch and consigned by S & K Darnbrook from Newcastleton. All three were also purchased by Messrs Hughes from Wigton.
