Lazonby Store Lamb Sale

On Wednesday 14th August 2019, Harrison and Hetherington Ltd held their fortnightly sale of store sheep at Lazonby Mart which attracted a fantastic entry of 2,047 head forward.  All classes were good to sell with a large company of buyers present, Mule lambs in particular met a fantastic demand to average £55.63 for over 900 forward.

The sale topped at £78 for an outstanding pen of 10 Texel cross lambs from Messrs M Faulder, Ewan Close, Armathwaite with another pen of 20 at £77.50 from the same home.

Suffolk lambs sold to £68.50 for a fabulous pen from Messrs Pickthall, The

Mains, Kirkoswald.

Mules topped at £63.50 for a strong pen from Messrs Swinbank, Brow Farm, Dufton.
