St Boswells Suckled Calf Sale

Harrison and Hetherington held their Annual Show and Sale of Suckled Calves with 589 forward to greet a full ringside of buyers covering the length and breadth of the country. Judging an exceptional show of calves was Alistair and Andrew Fleming from Crookhouse, Kelso. Champion Calf was awarded to Messrs Richardson of Upper Samieston for an outstanding Lim.x Bullock Calf which made £1050, weighing 305kg. (344.3 ppkg). Reserve Champion was given to the Lim.x Heifer from Messrs Rennie of Sydenham. A brilliant Heifer raising £980 for 375kg.

Out with the show topping the days trading was a marvellous Angus.x bullock from Messrs Hamilton of Earlside at £1080. Topping the Heifer pence per kilo was a pen of fantastic Charolais.x from the annual consignment from Messrs Morton of Kaeside at 262.7ppkg
