Kirkby Stephen Store Sheep Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of store sheep on Tuesday when 310 store lambs were forward.

Topping the sale at £66.50 were a pen of eight Texel x lambs from Messrs Calvert, Thorpe House Farm, Richmond.

A pen of 26 Mule lambs sold to make £62.50 also from Thorpe House Farm, with a pen of 15 Suffolk cross lambs selling for £60.50 also from this same home.

All classes and sizes of store lambs were as dear a trade as seen all season and many more could easily be sold well!
