Welshpool Autumn Limousin Sale

Glencross Oliver from C Davies, Glanyfer, Eglwyswrw, Pembrokeshire was awarded Overall Champion judged by Henry Fieldson, Fieldson Limousins at the NWM & NW Limousin Club Sale at Welshpool Livestock Market today going on to sell for 4000gns. Oliver was sired by Glencross Ioncalo a Fieldson Alfy son and out of Glencross Invision. He was purchased by Messrs Roberts from Ty Croes, Anglesey

Top price of the day was Haulfryn Oswin from RG & RS Whitley, Haulfryn Farming which sold for 5000gns. This bull, sired by Harris and out of Guitare, was purchased by Messrs Price & Co, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire.

Second top price of the day was Garyvaughan Odance from CV & EM Lewis & Sons, Buttington New Hall which sold for 4700gns. Odance had won 2nd prize in his class at the pre-sale show and went on to be purchased by Messrs Davies from Llangadog, Carmarthenshire.

The Reserve Male Champion sold for 4000gns to Messrs Gittins, Craven Arms, Shropshire. This was the Trueman Jagger son Mojo Onion consigned by Mr & Mrs A Jones, Pencarreg House.

Two bulls sold for 3500gns, the first of these was Glencross Ollie from C Davies. Ollie, like Messrs Davies’ Champion bull, was also sired by Glencross Ioncalo and this time out of Eisteddfa Hawys. He had won 2nd prize in his class at the pre-sale show.

The other bull to reach the 3500gns mark was Esmors Osian from DE Evans. This bull was sired by Knock Glencoe and out of Farfelue and went on to be purchased by Messrs Thomas, Llandrindod Wells.

Top priced female was Miljak Onherway from Jack Stevens, Manor Farm, Somerset which sold for 1500gns.
