Kirkby Stephen Breeding Sheep Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held the dispersal sale of the Continental flock of inlamb sheep from local farmer and lifetime supporter of Kirkby Stephen Auction Mart Alan Birbeck, Pennine View, Nateby.

A large crowd turned out to support Alan and with the sheep turned out in excellent condition the sale topped at £180 for Texel correct ewes scanned for twins and was purchased by Messrs Metcalfe, Croup Farm, Wharton.

The sale average £150.25 for regular aged Texel cross ewes.
