Kirkby Stephen Sale of Cast & OTM Cattle

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of Cast & OTM Cattle on Monday when 56 were forward.

Topping the sale at £1350.55 was a 821kg Limousin cow which made 164.5p/kg from Messrs Horn, Lower Griseburn, Great Asby.

Topping at 177.5p/kg was a Limousin cross cow from Messrs Birkbeck, Castle Hill, Soulby.

Also joint topping at 177.5p/kg was another Limousin cross cow from Messrs Robinson, Prospect Farm, Waitby.

Dairy cows topped £978.81 for a Holsten/Friesian from Messrs Barrow, Helm Farm, Ormside.

All classes of Cast & OTM cattle were a very strong trade with a overall sale average of 132.26p/kg (£864.09) was achieved.
