At St Boswells on Monday 10th August, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly Prime stock sale of cattle and sheep

Sold 62 Clean Cattle, 43 Cast Cows,1828 Lambs and 636 Ewes

Prime cattle met a cracking trade

Bullocks (23) averaged 223p per kg and sold to 238p (n/c on the week)

Heifers (39) averaged 227.5p per kg and sold to 247p (n/c on the week)

2 Young Bull sold to 192p (202p)

Quality show forward meeting great returns.

43 Cast Cows averaged 160p per kg and sold to 211p (+15p on the week) Top price £1509.

1828 Lambs averaged 225.4p per kg (+12p on the week) and sold to £131, top price 276p per kg for Beltex Lambs

636 Ewes averaged £64.46 and sold to £127 for Suffolk Ewes. Heavy Ewes averaged £90, light ewes sold to £77 for Cheviot Ewes and averaged £55
