On Wednesday 16th September, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their first Sale of the season of store lambs within Middleton in Teesdale Mart.
A great opening show of 500 lambs were forward, with trade being dearer than anticipated. The sale averaged £62.13 overall, and topped at £84 for a pen of Texels from Messrs GS Dixon, Low Scargill, Barnards Castle. A run of 30 Mules consigned by JR & G Walton & Sons, Swarthymere, Barnard Castle sold to £77.50.
