Annual Second Sale of Badger Face Texels

The Annual Second Sale of Badger Face Texels took place at Carlisle on Saturday, and saw a small selection of females forward, resulting in a top price of 1800gns being achieved for a shearling gimmer. This was Ingst Almondo consigned by John Harding, Bristol. She was sired by the imported Nootdboon 0399 and purchased by Messrs Hamilton, Co Tyrone.

The Ingst flock also sold the next top price of 1700gns which also topped the ewe lamb section. Ingst Blanka a March born lamb, full sister to 6000gn Ingst Olympia. She was sired by Sunnybank ACDC and also sold to Messrs Hamilton.

Stuart Wood, Aberdeen sold a shearling gimmer to the next top of 900gns. Woodies Anastasia, is sired by Dutch import Poele 82970 and out of another Dutch import Schillewaert 0331, she joins the Strathview flock of Mr James Scott.

The Strathview flock purchased another Woodies gimmer for 800gns, Woodies Air Hostess, she was also sired by Dutch import Poele 82970.
