Kirkby Stephen Store Sheep Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of store lambs at Kirkby Stephen when 473 were forward.

Topping the sale at £97 were a pen of Beltex cross lambs from Messrs Cornthwaite, Balgray Hill, Lockerbie, with another pen of six lambs from this home making £90.

Trade was described as one of the dearest seen for the show of lambs forward with plenty of buyers looking for store lambs and many more could be sold here at Kirkby Stephen.
