Broughton Principal Sale of Hill Store Lambs

At Broughton Mart on Tuesday 21^st October, Harrison & Hetherington held their principal sale of hill store lambs.

 

A great entry of lambs were forward, with numbers seeing a rise of over 400 on last years sale. An overall average of £37.65 was archived displaying a nice increase.

 

Hill lambs saw a top of £47 for a pen of 26 Herdwicks consigned by D & HS Ellwood, Baskell Farm, Ulpha. Swaledale lambs peaked at £41 twice for a pen of 32 from J & S McWilliam, Folds Farm, Broughton In Furness.

 

A small selection of Continental cross lambs sold to £68 for Texels from N Millard, Beck Bank, Millom,
