Robbie Wilson’s Milnbank flock enjoyed strong trading at the Solway and Tyne Club’s in-lamb sale, taking three of the top four prices, including the sale topper at 2200gns.
Leading the way was LYM1903164, a Cowal Bucking Bronco daughter out of a dam by Glenside Willy Nilly and in-lamb with twins to Sportsmans Dirty Harry. She was bought by Messrs Roots, Dumfries.
Then at 2000gns was LYM1903647, a Garngour Alabama daughter out of a dam by Strathbogie Untouchable and in-lamb to Teiglum Dancing Brave. She sold to Messrs Cochran, Darwen, Lancashire.
Then at 1800gns was Robert Cockburn’s best from the Knap flock, CKP1903796, a Knock Banker daughter out of a dam by Tamnamoney Tuborg Gold and in-lamb to Sportsmans Deal Breaker. Buying her were Sam and Sarah Beachell, Driffield.
Robbie Wilson then took 1600gns for LYM1903686, a Cowal Bucking Bronco daughter out of a dam by Glenside Valhalla. In-lamb to Sportsmans Dirty Harry, she sold to Messrs Roots again.
Robert Cockburn then took the same money for CKP1903783 an Auldhouseburn Billy The Kid daughter out of a dam by Procters Yankee. She sold to Messrs Jones, Pwllhelli, Gwynedd.
The same money then came for Kerr Jarvie’s best, JRV1904343, a Cambwell Brilliant daughter out of a dam by Clinterty Yosemite and in-lamb to Fachell Dodgy Dave. Buying her were Messrs Williams, Lampeter, Dyfed.
Averages; 30 gimmers £1118.25, one ewe lamb £210 (Harrison and Hetherington).
