Borderway Store Sheep Sale

On Monday 26th July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of Store lambs.

STORE SHEEP: A much larger show of store sheep were forward at Borderway with a smaller ringside of buyers.  Top price of the day was paid for a tremendous pen of Beltex lambs from Messrs B Walton, Goodlie Hill, Great Asby selling to a top of £129 with another pen selling for £127 and the full run of lambs averaging £108.46.

Top quality was very easily sold with quality lambs making £100 plus regularly away; also long keep first cross lambs were very well bid for seeing very little change on the week, but twice crossed lambs and stronger plainer lambs sold with less bidders seeing them £2-£4 less on the week.

Store batches of store lambs of all classes are required both in the ring and privately.
