Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

‘Sunny days continue for store cattle’

On Tuesday 3^rd August Harrison & Hetherington held its fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Auction Mart. A larger but mixed show was once again hit with the demand that keeps the store trade rising. Simmental bullocks sold to £1135 and Aberdeen Angus to £1120 from Messrs Ker, Justenlees. The same home had Charolais up to £1080 and £1070. Limousin’s sold to £1025 for a heifer from Messrs McGarva, Barwhanny Farm while Aberdeen Angus  heifer sold to £910 from Messrs Jardine, Newbigging. Shorthorn cattle were up to 241ppk from Messrs Duncanson, Marchbank.
