Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 4^th August Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale young calves.  An outstanding calf trade witnessed today with some calves being as dear as we have seen.  A cracking entry of 320 calves forward with the whole entry of 119 heifers selling to average a staggering £351.60.  Topping todays sale at a phenomenal £710 for a fantastic Charolais bull calf from Messrs Templeton, Glenlaugh Farm.  Their run of 4 calves from this home sold to average £666.  Strong Black and whites sold fantastically well regularly in excess of £250.  Topping at £320 for three from Messrs Morley, Hadderdale.  All continental calves were great to sell today with the best quality calves easily selling £450+.  More and more purchasers are keen for calves and more can be sold to vendors advantage.
