Borderway Store Sheep Sale

On Monday 9th August Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of Store lambs.

STORE SHEEP: Store sheep take a jump now the grass has had a drink. All classes of store sheep sold very well with vendors leaving highly delighted. Top price of the day was paid for a Texel from Messrs Paige, Hawton School House, Calthwaite at £120. Barker & Bland Ltd, Dale Foot consigned a tremendous run of Blue Texel cross lambs selling to top of £108 and a pen of 10 young May born lambs selling for a very respectable £90. All stamps of lambs proved much dearer on the week.
