Broderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 11^th August Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale young calves. An entry of 289 were presented to a larger ringside of buyers with all classes maintaining high returns.  Topping the sale was a pen of four Limousin bulls form Messrs Wilson, Gate Farm, selling for £615.  The same home topped at £540 for a single Limousin heifer.  British Blues topped at £500 for a pair from Messrs Martin, Tempest Tower and Messrs Bell, Torpenhow.  Dairy bred calves topped at £395 for some Fleckvieh bulls from Messrs Dodd, Newcastleton,    Many more calves could have been sold to advantage.
