Borderway Weekly Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 18^th August Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with an entry of 410. With a massive show on offer trade held extremely well all the way to the end.  The sale topped at £590 for a cracking Limousin bull from Messrs Wilson, Gate Farm, Uldale, selling to regular customer Messrs A Thompson.  This lovely run of 11 Limousin calves sold to average £514.  Another excellent run of 23 calves from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown sold to average £498.  

Black and white calves sold to superb rates with reared calves selling with ease often £200+.  Strong calves and young calves sold to fantastic rates but 2-3 month old calves being slightly easier on the week.
