Borderway Store & Breeding Sheep Sale

On Monday 25^th August Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep.

Store sheep once again were very well bid for, with larger numbers forward. Topping the trade at £102 was a pen of four Beltex crosses from Messrs Bird, Ghyll House Farm. With another pen selling to £99 from Messrs Hunt, Croft House. The full run of Beltex lambs sold to average £89 per life.

Large pens of Texel crosses were keenly bid for, regularly selling to £88 plus. The whole run of store lambs averaged £81.59 which is very encouraging for Vendors.
