Topping the sale was the overall champion pen of 10 lambs which were awarded the late C Jackson Perpetual Cup, being one of the best pens for quality strength and match seen and which were consigned by local breeders the Brown Family, Asby Hall, after frantic bidding the successful buyers being Messrs Robinson, Carnforth.

Our judges were Mr R Haynes, Towcester, and Mrs J McNay, Aspatria with Mr C Hewitt, Tatham acting as our referee.
