On Wednesday Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of Calves.  A large show of 477 forward continued to sell to high rates with more younger calves forward.

The sale topped at £790 twice firstly for a Limousin bull calf from J Marshall & Son, Brownrigg and then a British Blue bull from £790 from T W Martin, Tempest Tower.  TA & ML Jackson, Guillyhill sold a 2 month old Inra 95 bull for £785.  J & R Ramsey, Lodge of Kelton sold a pair of Angus bulls to £780.  Ellaway Ltd, Elephant Farm sold a tremendous run of calves to £760 for a British Blue.  Mein Farming Company sold a 2 month old Blue to £750.

Heifers topped at £780 for a pair of British Blues from Ellaway Ltd, Elephant Farm.  They also sold to £740, £730 and £725.  J J Henderson & Son, Park House sold to £680 for a British Blue.  D & M Irving Farming sold a Charolais heifers for £670.  G & SE Fox, Windy Hill sold a Limousin heifers to £610

Black and white bulls sold to £480 for a 3 month old Holstein from C Dent, Bridge End.  Ellaway Ltd, Elephant Farm, sold a pair to £435 and also 3 to the same price.  AR & HF Errington, Sockbridge sold to £390.  C Dent, Bridge End sold to £390 for a pair of Danish Red
