On a Monday, I am responsible for selling prime cattle – bulls, steers and heifers – and trade has been particularly strong in recent months.

In a mere nine months, I can confidently say that I have concluded my time in the British livestock marketing industry with a swag of new people in my life whom I am proud to call my friends.

‘Bella’, a homebred Limousin X heifer from Welsh showman Tecwyn Jones, stole the show at the 2025 Borderway Agri Expo in Carlisle, taking home the prestigious Supreme Cattle Championship title. Hosted by Harrison & Hetherington, the 18th annual Agri Expo once again brought together breeders, farmers, politicians, and rural businesses from across the UK for a day celebrating the very best of British livestock farming.
